Global HR Icons headline Global Conference on Human Resources in Africa (GCHRA 2025)

Accra will play host to some of the world’s most prominent human resources (HR) leaders during the Global Conference on Human Resources in Africa (GCHRA).

The event scheduled between August 13 to 16, 2025, at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City,
would be under the theme “Leveraging Technology to Enhance Workforce Productivity and Optimize Efficiency”.

GCHRA 2025 is positioned to become one of the continent’s leading gatherings for HR professionals, policymakers, and business executives.

Among the keynote speakers confirmed for the event is Johnny C. Taylor Jr., President & CEO of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) would join David Green, Global People Analytics Expert and host of the Digital HR Leaders podcast, as well as Dr. Najat El Mahdy, Chair of the Qatar HR Forum and Director of Strategy, HR & OD at QFCRA as keynote speakers at the Conference.

Other high-profile speakers include Dr. Francis Eduku, CEO of CIHRM Ghana; Hon. Dr. Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, Member of Parliament for Ghana; Emily M. Dickens, Chief of Staff and Head of Government Affairs at SHRM; Andy Biladeau, Chief Transformation Officer at SHRM; and Nicole Herskowitz, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft 365 and Copilot.

The speaker roster also features leading African HR executives such as Olusegun Mojeed, President of CIPM Nigeria; Ahmed Quresha Abdullahi, Executive Director of IHRM Kenya; and Jocelyne Uwamahoro, President of the Rwanda Human Resource Management Organisation and HR Director at Rwanda Energy Group.

During the four days, participants will explore the intersection of technology and human capital through keynote addresses, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and expert-led masterclasses.

Key topics will include the use of AI in recruitment, managing hybrid work environments, building upskilling strategies, and advancing people analytics across organizations.

Attendees will also gain access to a dedicated HR tech exhibition, structured networking opportunities, and a post-conference cultural heritage tour from Accra to Cape Coast and Safari Valley—offering a unique blend of professional development and cultural enrichment.

In a recent statement, Johnny C. Taylor Jr. remarked, “Human beings are the most important asset of every economy. With Africa poised to become the most populated continent on the planet, investing in HR development is more critical than ever.”

GCHRA 2025 is organized by KUSI Consulting and powered by SHRM, with support from several strategic sponsors and partners, including Kempinski Hotel, CIHRM Ghana, RwandAir, Adansi Travels, HRMA Uganda, AHRP Liberia, RHRMO Rwanda, ICS Africa, Diaspora Affairs Office, Jobberman, SeamlessHR, GTP and Joy Multimedia.
