Communications Minister, Samuel George, has announced increases in data bundle allocations across all telecommunication networks in Ghana, effective July 1, 2025.

The Minister revealed these changes during a press conference in Accra today, highlighting successful negotiations with network operators.

“I am pleased to announce that my engagement with the CEOs has resulted in the following specific measures,” Mr George stated.

AirtelTigo Ghana (AT Ghana):

10% increase across all data bundles

GH₵400 bundle upgraded from 195GB to 236GB

Telecel Ghana:

10% increase across all data bundles

GH₵400 bundle increased from 90GB to 250GB

MTN Ghana:

15% increase across all data bundles

Restoration of GH₵399 bundle offering 214GB (previously changed to GH₵350 for 92.88GB)

Mr George acknowledged the financial impact on operators saying “I am aware these increases will come at considerable cost to the network operators.”

“However, I am glad that our engagements and consultations are bearing fruit for the Ghanaian people.”

The Minister expressed gratitude to telecom CEOs for their cooperation, signaling improved government-industry collaboration in the communications sector.

These changes come as part of ongoing efforts to enhance digital accessibility and value for money in Ghana’s telecom market.
