Former Chief Executive Officer of Dalex Finance Kenneth Kwamina Thompson has been appointed chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB).
Other members of the Board include Edward Ato Sarpong serving as Managing Director, Andrew Dari Chiwitey, Mr Siisi Essuman-Ocran, Dr E. Prince Arhin, and Hon Misbahu Mahama Adams.
The rest are Wing Commander Samuel J.A. Allotey, Mr Courage Akanwunge Asabagna and Mr Abdul Nasir M. Saani.
Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, who inaugurated the new Board of Directors charged them to remain focused on the bank’s core mandate of supporting Ghana’s agricultural sector.

Dr Forson highlighted the crucial role of agriculture in national development.
“As I emphasised during the ceremony, no country develops without sustained agricultural development,” he stated.
He further called on the board to be purposeful in their work.
“I have therefore tasked the new board to remain focused and guided by their primary mandate—serving Ghana’s agricultural sector,” he added.

Kenneth Kwamina Thompson is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is a graduate of the University of Ghana Business School and has over 17 years of experience in senior executive roles in finance and risk management.
His previous roles include Head of Venture Funds Management at Fidelity Equity Fund I and Principal Internal Audit Manager at Barclays Bank, UK. Kenneth currently holds directorships at Reliance Personnel Services Ltd., RPS Engineering Services Ghana Ltd., and the National Lotteries Authority.
