“I won’t sit down unconcerned for Indiscipline to thrive under Mahama” — Anthony Nukpenu

The Greater Accra Regional Organiser of the National Democratic Congress, Anthony Nukpenu has said he wouldn’t sit down for indiscipline to thrive under the Presidency of John Dramani Mahama.

He made this known in an interview with Kwaku Owusu Adjei (patoo), on the Adwenekasa, a current affair programme on Original TV and Original FM.

Anthony Nukpenu expressed his firm stance against indiscipline in political circles especially within the NDC as the party is in government.

He said Appointees must exhibit decorum, respect, firmness and patriotism as they discharge their duties to mother Ghana.

“I don’t sit in a group where indiscipline thrives,” he asserted, emphasizing the need for accountability and integrity within political parties.

Nukpenu pointed out the tendency for individuals to seek government assistance simply because they supported the ruling party. “If the party wins power, there’s no reason for those in paramount positions to rush for government roles,” he added.

He stressed the importance of re-establishing a system that discourages the rush for political portfolio stating that such behavior often leads to corruption and criminal acts.

Nukpenu referenced the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, calling it “so corrupt” and urging for an intensive audit of its activities.

As political discourse intensifies, Nukpenu’s remarks serve as a call for a more disciplined governance.
