Barcelona star and Spain teenage sensation Lamine Yamal has admitted that he has no apprehension about playing on the grand stage, seeing his age as little obstacle.
The teenage prodigy provided two assists in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday against Real Madrid, and has become a pivotal player for Hansi Flick this term. At every stage of his career for both club and country and in a pre-match conference the 17-year-old has brushed off pressure, and made it clear that he had no fear about facing Inter in the Champions League semi-final.
“I haven’t had that fear, but I do have the motivation before the game. I left that fear behind in the park in Mataro a long time ago. I wouldn’t call it pressure. In the end, I go out and enjoy myself. I take it as a good thing, and I feel like I have to enjoy the moment.”

The 2024 European Cup winner dismissed the idea that, his young age and experience could affect his play on Wednesday as he looks to make his 100th appearance against the Nerazzurri.
“If you’re ready, you’re ready. Age is just a number. It’s a sport that depends on the quality and mentality of the person. We are at a very high level with a young team. Age is just a number.”

Barcelona host Italian giants Inter in the first leg of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League semifinal.
The Itali an giants were eliminated from the Coppa Italia last week at the semi-final stage by bitter rivals AC Milan, but are still in a Scudetto race themselves.
Meanwhile Barcelona still remain top of La Liga with four points clear and they would be hoping to get a good results in their quest for treble winning season after clinching their 32 Copa Del Rey trophy on Saturday.
