Kennedy Agyapong, a 2024 Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has made a passionate appeal for unity within the party by calling for the reinstatement of all suspended members.

Addressing party faithful in Takoradi during the NPP’s ongoing “Thank You” tour of the Western Region, Agyapong emphasized the urgent need for reconciliation to strengthen the party’s chances in future elections.

“If we ever stand a chance to unite, I charge the national executives to grant amnesty to Afoko, Alan and everybody who has been suspended by the party. Let’s recall them to the party and unite,” he reiterated.

The outspoken politician also extended a public apology to individuals who have been wronged by the NPP, stressing that healing old wounds was essential for moving forward.

“I will stand on behalf of the NPP party to apologize to everybody NPP has offended,” Agyapong said.

He quickly clarified that his call for reconciliation was not about pride or personal glory but about fostering peace and rebuilding trust within the party.

“What I am talking about is not about ego. It is about peace. It should not be difficult for any of us here to admit we have wronged a lot of our party people, hence their decision not to vote for us,” he added.

Kennedy Agyapong’s comments have since sparked conversations within party circles, as many reflect on the importance of unity ahead of the crucial 2024 elections.
