Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana has agreed a deal with Serie A side, Atalanta, according to transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian club is strengthening its attacking options by securing Sulemana from Southampton ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The agreement is reportedly valued at €17.5 million, with additional performance-related bonuses and add-ons of up to €4 million. The deal also includes a 15% sell-on clause.

Sulemana, who is currently on holiday in Accra, is expected to cut his break short to undergo a medical examination in Bergamo, Italy, on Friday, June 27.

The 22-year-old winger began his professional career with FC Nordsjælland in Denmark before moving to Stade Rennais in France. He joined Southampton in January 2023 for a club-record fee and went on to make 26 Premier League appearances, scoring once.

Despite a limited goal return in England, Sulemana’s pace, dribbling ability, and versatility on the left wing attracted Atalanta’s interest.

The Serie A side is now set to integrate him into their squad as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Atalanta is looking to benefit from Sulemana’s attacking qualities as they continue to build a competitive team for both domestic and European campaigns.
