Kenstep Group pledges continued support for Nima during MCE’s visit

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of East Ayawaso, Abdul Ganiyu Ibrahim, recently paid a working visit to the offices of Kenstep Group of Companies to formally express the Assembly’s appreciation for the company’s long-standing contributions to the Nima community.

Kenstep Group — comprising Kenstep Limited, Ghana Base Management, Kenstep Microfinance, and Alpha Lotto — is led by CEO Mr. Kenneth Kwame Asare. The group is one of the largest employers in East Ayawaso and a key supporter of community development in Nima.

The visit was among Mr. Ibrahim’s first official engagements since assuming office following his government nomination and confirmation by the Assembly earlier this month.

“This visit is not just symbolic; it is a testament to the value we place on partnerships,” said Mr. Ibrahim.

“Kenstep has consistently gone above and beyond in giving back to the people of Nima. As a representative of the people, it is only right that I come in person to thank you for the immense impact you have made on the community and explore ways we can collaborate further.”

Kenstep Group has over the years financed and executed numerous community projects in Nima, including road upgrades, health campaigns, community cleaning programmes, scholarships for underprivileged tertiary students, and seasonal support during Eid, Christmas, and Easter.

Mr. Kenneth Kwame Asare, a proud Nima native and former player of the local Santos FC football club in the 1980s and 1990s, warmly welcomed the MCE and his delegation.

“We are deeply honoured by your visit,” Mr. Asare said.

“Nima is my home. Everything I am today began here. Giving back is not a favour—it is a responsibility. Kenstep will continue to invest in the people of Nima and partner with the Assembly where needed.”

The visit also allowed the East Ayawaso Municipal Assembly to better understand Kenstep Group’s diverse operations, which span savings and loans, construction, logistics, lottery, hospitality, and real estate.

Accompanied by senior Assembly officials, Mr. Ibrahim reiterated the community’s commitment to supporting private sector players whose activities align with the Assembly’s development agenda.

“We see in Kenstep a model of corporate citizenship. This is exactly the kind of synergy we need between local government and private business to truly develop our communities,” he said.

Both parties pledged to deepen collaboration in the coming months, with plans to explore joint community enhancement projects.

As East Ayawaso prepares to roll out new development initiatives across the municipality, stakeholders say Kenstep’s role will be crucial, given its deep roots in Nima and strong record of social investment.
