Chancellor of the Kumasi Technical University, Dr Kwame Addo Kuffour Chancellor of the Kumasi Technical University, Dr Kwame Addo Kuffour

The Chancellor of the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Dr Kwame Addo Kuffour, has launched the university’s official history book as part of its 70th-anniversary celebrations. The launch was held in conjunction with the Chancellor’s lecture.

Dr Addo Kuffour also acknowledged and honored individuals who have contributed to the university’s growth through their knowledge and support over the years.

In his address, Dr Kuffour expressed immense pride and gratitude, highlighting KsTU’s remarkable strides in becoming a leading technical university in Ghana and beyond. He acknowledged the challenges the institution has faced, emphasizing that perseverance and hard work have been key to overcoming obstacles and shaping KsTU into a formidable force in the tertiary education sector.

“Today, as we launch this History Book, we take a moment to reflect on our journey, which has had both smooth and rough times,” Dr Kuffour stated. “It is these situations that have encouraged us to compile the record of the University’s past events. It is not merely a history book, but a source of inspiration for the future.”

Dr Kuffour emphasized that the book captures a mixture of triumphs and challenges that have defined KsTU’s identity. These stories, he said, serve as a constant reminder of the university’s resilience, zealousness, and determination to rise above obstacles.

“This History Book is a testament to our enduring legacy and a beacon of hope for what lies ahead,” Dr Kuffour declared. He expressed confidence that the book would inspire students, faculty, and all stakeholders, reinforcing the idea that past challenges have only strengthened the university’s resolve to build a better future.

With those words, Dr Kwame Addo Kuffour officially declared the History Book of the Kumasi Technical University launched. The book chronicles the university’s journey from its inception to the present day, serving as a valuable resource and a source of inspiration for the entire KsTU community.
