Kudus outlines ambition to help less privileged footballers in Africa

Mohammed Kudus has opened up on his desire to make a positive change to the sports industry by providing aid to less privileged footballers in Africa.

Born in Nima, Ghana, Kudus fought out of his skin to reach the top, cutting his teeth with local club Strong Towers before moving on to the Right to Dream Academy in 2010.

Kudus has since gone on to become an established name at Nordsjaelland, Ajax and West Ham.

At 24, Kudus’ journey from Nima to East London has been characterised by dedication, will power, and sacrifice.

Speaking to Rising Ballers (perspectives) about the changes he would love to make to the football industry, the West Ham midfielder said:

“I think I’ll open up more opportunities from where I’m coming from. Because, i believe, there are more better talents than i am that I saw growing up but they haven’t made it because of opportunities. So I think that’s what i’ll try to change. Coming from Africa, I’ll try and find ways to create more opportunities.”

Since his move to Europe, Kudus has often given back to society, with his latest statement a testament of his selfless and benevolent trait.

Meanwhile, on-field, Kudus continues to find his feet for West Ham, who are struggling this season.

The Ghanaian has scored three times in the Premier League this term and will be looking for his fourth when West Ham host Leicester on Thursday.
