A tragic accident on the Atonsu-Agogo highway involving a motorcycle (Aboboyaa) and a drilling vehicle has resulted in one death and left three others severely injured.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Friday, April 11, 2025, around 10:30 AM at a location known as Atonsu High-Tension.
According to reports, the Aboboyaa rider attempted an improper overtaking, leaving the driver of the drilling vehicle no choice but to collide with the motorcycle from behind, causing significant damage. The Aboboyaa became trapped under the drilling vehicle and was dragged for about 30 meters before it came to a stop.
Eyewitnesses state that the Aboboyaa rider died on the spot, with his passenger, who was seated beside him, sustaining severe injuries. The police have transported the rider’s body to Agogo Hospital, where the injured passenger is also being treated and fighting for his life.
