Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kurt Okraku and Vice Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Stephen Appiah, paid a visit to injured Black Stars defender Alidu Seidu in France.

Seidu ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) while playing in a Ligue 1 game for his club, Rennes, against Lille in November 2024.

The right back underwent surgery in December 2024, ruling him out of action for 6-9 months, curtailing his season in the process.

Seidu was seen with GFA president Kurt Okraku and Black Stars Management Committee Vice Chair, Stephen Appiah, as he makes his way back from injury.

Stephen Appiah, since his appointment as Vice Chairman, has been touring Europe, visiting players ahead of March’s World Cup qualifiers.

Appiah was seen with West Ham star Mohammed Kudus earlier in February, encouraging the midfielder.

Likewise, Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has been visiting some players, including Thomas Partey, Mohammed Salisu, Fatawu Issahaku, Jordan Ayew among others.

The aim of the visits is to foster stronger bonds and unity within the Black Stars as the 2026 World Cup qualifiers beckon.

Ghana take on Chad and Madagascar in March, with the Black Stars aspiring to qualify to the World Cup for a fifth time.

Meanwhile, Alidu Seidu, who has been capped 20 times for Ghana, will rally behijd his team from the sidelines.
