Ghanafuor: Lets Not Be Swayed By The Wiles of The Morally Bankrupt NPP Bigwigs

Dear critical reader, it’s befuddling that even the more responsible sections of Ghana’s mainstream legacy media aren’t speaking out against the deafening silence amongst those competing to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2028 election cycle. The silence pertains to the unparalleled levels of high-level corruption now being exposed, as investigators unearth a myriad of grand larceny and insider racketeering schemes.

These schemes enabled a number of NPP appointees to pillage taxpayers’ monies and convert them into private assets with total impunity during the eight long years that the Akyem Mafia dominated our country under the presidency of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. That’s unpardonable, incomprehensible, and intolerable, oooo, Ghanafuor. Yoooooooooo…

Unless and until those vying to lead the NPP into the 2028 election cycle polls condemn those appointees who allegedly looted Ghana during the Akyem Mafia era and have been exposed by gathered incontrovertible evidence in the oral investigations, and explain to the good people of Ghana why they never saw what was going on under their noses, they aren’t fit to lead our country one bit, oooo, Ghanafuor. Yoooooooooo…

Furthermore, if the volatile and boastful Kennedy Agyapong, in particular, who has all the makings of a Trump-like leader, were to be elected to the presidency (God forbid!), he would take state capture and rent-seeking robber-baron-type transferring of public assets to private hands to send the personal net worth of a powerful few to stratospheric heights at society’s expense. This would make the Akyem Mafia big thieves in high places look like saints in comparison, oooo, Ghanafuor. Yoooooooooo…

Finally, as wise and aspirational Africans who love our beautiful and bountiful Motherland Ghana passionately, let us not make the mistake of ever entrusting power to the NPP again – not until a new generation of honest and principled leaders (in the mould of the late Professor Kofi Abrefa Busia, the 2nd Republic’s conservative Prime Minister), takes over the running of their morally bankrupt party, oooo, Ghanafuor. Let us not be swayed by the wiles of the morally bankrupt NPP bigwigs, wai, Ghanafuor. A word to the wise…
