The Leader and Founder of the Israel King of Jews Church, Nakoa Prophet Nazareth Ansah Jamson, has appealed to members of the public in the Ga Traditional Area to strictly adhere to the ban on drumming and noisemaking, which takes effect from Monday, May 12, 2025.

He emphasized that it was important to observe this sacred event, which has been set aside to herald the Homowo festival, marking the occasion for the chiefs and people of the Greater Accra Region, in recognition of the sanctity of the event.

Nakoa Nazareth, who is also the Noyaa Mantse (Development Chief) of the Onomrako Adain Family in the Greater Accra Region, clarified that the period was not a fetish rite, as some might perceive it.

He urged all, including religious bodies, to observe the month-long period to strengthen peaceful co-existence between them and the traditional authority.

“When we all observe the directive, this would help prevent situations where young men are compelled to go around enforcing the traditional council’s directive,” he said in an interview with the media.

Furthermore, Nakoa Nazareth, the Spiritual Leader of the Prophets and Spiritual Churches Council of Ghana, reiterated that the observance of the ban was crucial to ensure the event’s sanctity and maintain harmony in the region.
