Dear patriots!
I know you are still in disbelief, disappointed, and in absolute pain for what our beloved Party NPP is going through.
In fact, let me kindly remind you that what our Party is being subjected to is a cycle in the political architecture.
Fellow patriot, in this turbulent and troubling moment of our Party, let’s admit that we live in a human institution and no human is perfect.
To state categorically, I’m not in any way justifying the embarrassing and shocking predicaments of our Party which we all seem to be losing confidence in.
Importantly, this is the right time for us to close our ranks, reflect, collaborate, and strengthen ties with a clear vision to champion a formidable front.
Definitely, we all have a share of what the Party is experiencing, and accepting responsibility will help us move forward to bring back the love and passion in everyone with the Party at heart.
For clarity, political leadership entails a lot and demands taking tough and well-thought-out decisions that are in the best interest of members and the Party.
To add, great political leaders take full responsibility for whatever happened, and make amends to change the narrative from negative to positive.
In the political space, political parties are not being run by only leaders but the followers always play a pivotal role in the day-to-day activities.
My colleagues, will the constant attacks out of pain and disappointment from the Party’s performance at the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary election on our leaders serve the objective of bouncing back stronger?
In all honesty, this is the time for us to showcase the deep passion we have for the NPP. We have won elections and we have lost too and that’s the beauty of democracy.
Every election comes with its own dynamics and strategizing with a focused determination will yield more positive results than continuing fixation on internal contests.
In all humility, let’s hasten slowly with a knee-jerk reaction to blame our current leaders as if they are a rubber stamp and not fit for purpose.
Let’s remember that they won us elections, for which we were full of praise for their hard work, commitment, and unstoppable diligence. Being on the losing end shouldn’t guarantee us the opportunity to malign and subject some of them to public ridicule.
As the saying goes “when in anger you don’t make decisions”. Anger destroys more than being tactful and meticulous in our political conversation.
Whether you are a National Executive, Regional Executive, Council of Elders, Patron Constituency Executive, Coordinator, or a polling station executive. We have the utmost duty to protect, defend, and uphold the integrity and values of the Party.
At this juncture, I know vividly that the NPP will overcome these trying moments. Let’s contribute intellectually to the Party’s quest to regroup, reorganize, restructure, reconnect, and forge ahead for viable reforms.
We can’t afford to keep repeating our mistakes and tend to engage in a blame game which further deepens the crack we’re working hard to mend for the future elections.
Let’s embrace and surmount the current hurdles of the Party by putting aside our self-seeking interests that erode and create an unnecessary hostile environment within the Party.
Shalom!
Long live NP!
