Ghanaian actor and staunch member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Prince David Osei, has urged party members to stay hopeful and work towards reviving the party.
He reminded NPP supporters that opportunities are never wasted but rather taken up by those prepared to seize them.
In a social media post on Saturday, March 22, he expressed optimism that a new generation of young leaders would emerge to drive the party to victory in the 2028 elections.
“NPP, remember opportunities don’t go to waste. They just go to other people!! Let’s work on our mistakes, reunite, and bounce back stronger!
“NDC is not our enemy but our brothers. They will do what they can in these four years! But in 2028, a new breed of young bloods will emerge for exceptional leadership with national patriotism!! We will shine again!!! Kukrudu,” he wrote on X.
His remarks come in the wake of the NPP’s recent directive cautioning members against engaging in media discussions that could cause division and undermine the party’s rebuilding efforts.
Following this, the party’s General Secretary, Justin Koduah Frimpong, in a statement on Thursday, March 20, referred former Dome Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo to the party’s Disciplinary Committee.
The former Gender Minister had made several media appearances expressing her dissatisfaction with how the party treated her and highlighting issues she believed contributed to their defeat in the 2024 elections.
