As Muslims approach the end of their 30-day fasting period, three ministers from the Ashanti Region have come together to donate assorted food items to the Muslim community in the region.

Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene, Works and Housing Minister Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, and Interior Minister Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak jointly presented over 1,000 bags of rice and sugar, as well as boxes of cooking oil and canned food products.

This generous gesture aims to assist beneficiaries in observing the holy month and praying for the nation.

During the handover of the items on March 18, Andrews Nana Akwasi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, expressed gratitude to President John Dramani for ensuring that the region received its fair share of political appointments.

“The three ministers, along with CEOs and deputy CEOs from the region, all contributed to gathering these assorted food items for our Muslim brothers and sisters who are observing the fast. It is truly heartening to see our appointees supporting their community,” emphasized Nana Akwasi.
