Mahama’s Swift Action: A president who listens

President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama

“I might not be the one to cause the change…but I guarantee you that my words will spark the minds that will” – Tupak Shakur.

My planned hibernation, intended for peaceful introspection after last Saturday’s exhortation and Sunday’s sermon, was abruptly disrupted by a recent dramatic announcement by the Minister for Transport.

The decision to lease government buses to private operators and permit trotro vehicles to only utilise peripheral roads represents a significant stride towards easing congestion in our urban centres.

This decisive action underscores H.E. John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to addressing critical issues, proving that he is a listening president who has “hit the ground running.”

Notably, this announcement follows closely on the heels of my published article, “Revitalising Public Transport in Ghana: Lessons and Opportunities,” suggesting a responsive and engaged administration.

This low-hanging fruit initiative promises to resonate positively with Ghanaians, demonstrating His Excellency’s unwavering dedication to resetting Ghana with a sense of urgency.

This responsiveness isn’t an isolated incident. Only a week after my publication of “Ghana’s Atomic Energy Dream: Mahama’s Vision To Provide Energy Security,” the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission unveiled a roadmap for the establishment of a nuclear power plant in Ghana, further highlighting the president’s vision for a secure energy future.

These swift actions confirm President Mahama’s commitment to progress. He’s a doer, a man of action. JDM, you do all! JDM Ayekoo!

With renewed faith in our leadership, I shall retreat once more into hibernation, hoping for further positive developments upon my re-emergence.
