25-year-old man, Kwabina Gyasi, has sustained multiple cutlass wounds after he was allegedly attacked by a farmer at Benso in the Western Region.

According to a report by starrfm.com.gh, Gyasi had recently moved to the area in search of job opportunities.

He was reportedly caught defecating on a cocoa farm belonging to a farmer identified only as Cudjoe.

Eyewitnesses say the farmer confronted him, and a heated exchange quickly escalated into violence.

Cudjoe, in a fit of anger, allegedly pulled out a cutlass and slashed Kwabina several times, leaving him with deep wounds.

Gyasi was assisted by some residents to obtain a police report and was rushed to the Benso Government Hospital.

He received medical treatment and was later discharged.

However, despite the severity of the assault, Cudjoe has not yet been arrested.

Reports indicate that the man who brought Kwabina to Benso, referred to locally as his “master”, has declined to pursue the matter, allegedly due to a personal relationship with the alleged attacker.

The incident has sparked concern among some residents, who are calling for justice and urging the police to take swift action on the matter.
