Manklalo of Mepe leads delegation to visit Council of State Member Dr Kwamigah-Atokple

The Manklalo of the Mepe Traditional Area, Torgbui Korsi Negbo IV, has led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on Dr Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, Council of State Member representing the Volta Region.

The visit, which happened in the afternoon of Wednesday, July 16, 2025, was to formally invite the Council of State member to the 69th Afenorto Festival.

Making this known in a post on his Facebook page, Dr Kwamigah-Atokple said he was particularly humbled by the kind words of the traditional leaders.

He also said he was encouraged by their visit to continue to serve his people.

“They spoke generously about the energy and vision I bring to the role and expressed their admiration. I was deeply humbled by their words and encouraged to continue representing our people with purpose and dedication.

“On behalf of the chiefs and elders, the delegation officially presented a gift from the warm and hospitable people of Mepe, a gesture I deeply appreciate. I expressed my gratitude for their visit, their kind words, and their generous invitation,” he wrote.

The Mepe chiefs also presented a gift to the Council of State member, who, in response, said, he said “I deeply appreciate.”

This afternoon, I received a delegation from the Mepe Traditional Area, led by the Manklalo, Torgbui Korsi Negbo IV, who also doubles as the Ag. President of the Mepe Traditional Council paid a special courtesy call to extend their congratulations and formally invite me to the 69th Afenorto Festival Grand Durbar.

The delegation warmly congratulated me on my election to the Council of State 🇬🇭. They spoke generously about the energy and vision I bring to the role and expressed their admiration. I was deeply humbled by their words and encouraged to continue representing our people with purpose and dedication.

On behalf of the chiefs and elders, the delegation officially presented a gift from the warm and hospitable people of Mepe, a gesture I deeply appreciate.

I expressed my gratitude for their visit, their kind words, and their generous invitation. I gladly confirmed my attendance and look forward to joining the people of Mepe to celebrate the 69th Afenorto Festival.
