
The Western North Regional Manager for the Foreigners Identity Management Systems (FIMS), a subsidiary of the Margins Group, Mr. George Nana Effah Boadu, popularly known as King Bobo, has been enstooled as the chief of Apapam-Esaase under the Kyebi Traditional Council in the Eastern Region.
He will now bear the stool name Baffour Nana Kwaku Sono Sikabede IV.
Addressing a large gathering after swearing the oath of allegiance to the Chief of Apapam, Okogyeaman Opagyafori IV, Baffour Kwaku Sono pledged to leverage his influence and current position to lobby for developmental projects from both the government and non-governmental organizations.
“Apapam-Esaase is our home, and as a chief, it is my heartfelt desire to see this town grow and prosper. Our initial focus will be on the establishment of a Senior High School or a TVET institution to enhance quality education, infrastructure development, the promotion of tourism, and support for small-scale industries,” he stated.
He called on all natives of Apapam-Esaase to unite and contribute towards the town’s progress, emphasizing that sustainable development could only be achieved through collective effort. He also urged his people to uphold the peace and harmony that exist within the community, as these are essential for growth.
The colorful enstoolment ceremony, held at the forecourt of Okyeaman Fie, was attended by several dignitaries, including members of the clergy, security personnel, and staff of the Margins Group, led by their Ashanti Regional Supervisor, Mr. Dennis Amankrah.
