Ghana Football Association (GFA) Vice President Mark Addo has commended President Kurt Simeon Edwin Okraku for his relentless efforts in securing new Nissan Navara pickups for regional associations.
This gesture, facilitated by the FIFA Forward program, saw eight Regional Football Associations receive the vehicles on April 16, marking a significant milestone in the country’s football development journey.
Speaking to the media, Mark Addo praised the FA President for his crucial role in securing the new vehicles, while also appealing to FIFA for continued support.
“I am happy the president had the vision and the courage to fight for this. FIFA when they give you money they give it to you on a strange jacket, our president had to fight for this and he fought so hard for this and we are able to deliver all these today. We are witnesses so we can all go and testify to the general public and all stakeholders that this the vision and the future and we look forward more of this to happen and more FIFA Forward” he said.
The regions that benefited from the new vehicles include: Brong Ahafo, Upper West, Central, Western, Eastern, Upper East, Volta, and Ashanti Regional FAs.
The Greater Accra and Northern Regional FAs will receive their vehicles in a future phase of the FIFA Forward program.
