Essentials such as bags of rice, cooking oil, canned goods and toiletries were distributed
Asamankese came alive this Easter as the Me Boafo Foundation rolled out a series of impactful events that blended health, culture, and celebration, leaving a lasting impression on the entire community.
A Meaningful Start
The festivities began with a philanthropic gesture as Dr Emmanuel Obiri Addo, founder of Me Boafo Foundation, led a donation drive to three local communities. Essentials such as bags of rice, cooking oil, canned goods, and toiletries were distributed, offering relief and hope to many.
This was followed by a spirited Health Walk, organised in collaboration with the Asamankese Police. Participants marched from the Police Station to Pinora, energising the town and promoting the importance of fitness and wellness.
Health First: Over 400 Screened
The momentum continued with a large-scale health screening at Kyei Bekind Premium Mart. More than 400 individuals benefited from free medical checkups, including blood pressure and breast cancer screenings. Free medications were also provided, thanks to the foundation’s partners and sponsors. The initiative empowered residents with vital health information and services, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to community well-being.
Cultural Extravaganza and Artistes Night
As the sun dipped, the community gathered for the Me Boafo Easter Feast. Local artistes lit up the night with music and dance, while cultural displays and games kept attendees entertained. With over 1,000 people in attendance, the event was a powerful demonstration of unity and joy, supported generously by sponsors who helped create an unforgettable atmosphere.
A Day for the Kid
Children weren’t left out of the fun. The Kids Funfair brought smiles and laughter with activities like a bouncing castle, face painting, poems, football, and hide-and-seek. The event fostered a sense of togetherness among the young ones, creating memories they’ll cherish.
Looking Ahead
With the resounding success of this year’s events, the Me Boafo Foundation is already setting its sights on the future. Backed by the unwavering support of sponsors, partners, and the local community, the foundation aims to make future Easter celebrations even more impactful.
As Asamankese reflects on a season filled with health, happiness, and harmony, the Me Boafo Foundation continues its mission—to uplift, unite, and transform lives, one celebration at a time.
