Nations FC has what it takes to win even without me- Razak Simpson

Nations FC captain Razak Simpson is confident that his team can secure the Ghana Premier League title despite his departure to join the Black Stars camp in London for the Unity Cup.

With three games remaining, Nations FC tops the league table, just a point ahead of second-placed GoldStars.

However, the process may have become a bit dodgy following the departure of Razak Simpson, who is set to join the Black Stars camp in London ahead of the Unity Cup.

Simpson, one of the league’s top performers, believes his team has enough quality to overcome the challenge.

He cited a recent example where Nations FC won two matches against Asante Kotoko in his absence.

“Even in my absence they can get the job done. Because in my absence they played against Asante Kotoko twice, they won. Whenever I come for National duty, they have been playing matches, scoring” he told Max TV.

Simpson praised his teammates, particularly the defenders, saying they have the ability to step up and deliver when needed.

“They have really quality defenders who can fit in for me and do the job perfectly,” he added.

Nations FC will host Samartex on Sunday, seeking to maintain their lead in the league table.

Despite Simpson’s departure, his teammates are expected to draw inspiration from his confidence and strive for a maiden Premier League crown.
