NDC executives in Atwima Nwabiagya South reject MCE nomination of Osei Wisdom

Some concerned executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency of the Ashanti Region have called for the rejection of Mr. Osei Wisdom as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area.

At a press conference, Mr. Abu Saddick, the Constituency Chairman, expressed the group’s dissatisfaction with the possibility of Mr. Osei being nominated for the position.

He emphasized that the executives would not be able to work with Mr. Osei if appointed, as they believe his leadership could hinder the party’s objectives and aspirations.

Mr. Saddick further alleged that Mr. Osei has demonstrated disrespect towards the Constituency executives and, on some occasions, invoked curses on individuals who opposed his candidacy for the MCE position.

The executives also criticized the decision to allow Mr. Osei to participate in the MCE vetting process held in Accra, describing him as unfit and incompetent to assume the role.

The group, therefore, appealed to the National Executives of the NDC and President John Mahama to reconsider the potential nomination of Mr. Osei as MCE.

They warned that such a move could deepen internal divisions within the party and undermine unity in the constituency.
