The newly enskinned Queen Mother of Daboya, Kuvulwunche Hajia Fulera Mahama, has expressed gratitude to the Paramount Chief of Daboya, elders, family, friends, and the entire community for entrusting her with the revered role in the Daboya Traditional Area.

Speaking after her enskinment, Hajia Fulera thanked the traditional authorities and assured them of her unwavering commitment to serve with dedication. “Though I reside in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region, I reaffirm my commitment to play my role as Queen Mother to the satisfaction of the people,” she said.

She emphasized the vital role queen mothers play in the development of traditional communities, particularly in advocating for women empowerment and supporting economic activities that improve livelihoods.

“Queen mothers are instrumental in calling for development, especially initiatives that empower women and help them live meaningful lives in their communities,” she noted.

Hajia Fulera also highlighted the importance of women in conflict resolution and maintaining peace within traditional setups. Acknowledging the volatility in parts of northern Ghana, she pledged to work closely with local stakeholders and authorities to promote peaceful coexistence in Daboya and surrounding areas.

In conclusion, she expressed heartfelt appreciation to all who supported her during the ceremony, including the Gonjas, Walas, and residents of Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.
