The Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced that applications for the government’s fee waiver for level 100 tertiary students, widely known as “No Fees Stress,” will close on July 31.

The Fund explained that closing applications for the current academic year will help facilitate reimbursements and allow preparations for the rollout of the No Academic Fee Policy for the 2025/2026 academic year.

In a statement dated July 11 and signed by Obeng Agyenim Boateng, Head of Corporate Communications, the SLTF urged eligible students who have not yet applied to do so before the deadline.

“The Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) wishes to inform all eligible students and stakeholders that the deadline for the submission of applications for academic fees reimbursements for the 2024/2025 academic year under the ‘No Fees Stress’ policy has been set for Thursday, July 31, 2025.

“This deadline is crucial to enable SLTF to process reimbursements in a timely manner, close applications for the current academic year, and initiate preparations for the implementation of the No Academic Fee Policy for the 2025/2026 academic year.

“All eligible students who have not yet submitted their applications are encouraged to do so via https://nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh before the deadline to ensure they benefit from the policy,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has disclosed that 175,094 students have accessed the portal so far.

He further revealed that 40,233 students have already been reimbursed out of 60,756 validated applications, with another 151,492 students having completed their applications.
