The Ministry of the Interior has dismissed rumours suggesting that some individuals, including pastors, have been granted immunity from security checkpoints.
In a statement signed by its Public Affairs and Communications Unit, the Ministry emphasized that no such privilege exists, and all citizens are subject to the same security protocols.
“The Ministry of the Interior is compelled to address a disturbing trend of misinformation circulating on social media, suggesting that certain individuals, including pastors, have been granted special privileges to bypass security checks.
“The Ministry of the Interior wishes to state categorically that these claims are baseless, entirely false, and should be disregarded immediately.
“It is important to note that the Ministry of the Interior has not issued any directives or protocols allowing specific groups or individuals to circumvent security checks,” the statement read.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining national security without discrimination and urged the public to verify information from official sources before sharing to prevent the spread of misinformation.
