The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the release of Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) codes for 18,011 eligible nurses and midwives across the country ahead of the 2025/2026 national service year.

In a press release issued on April 17, 2025, and signed by the Director-General, Felix Gyamfi, the Authority said the release marks the beginning of the enrollment process for qualified nurses and midwives to undertake their mandatory national service.

According to the statement, all eligible trained nurses and midwives are required to visit the official NSA website — www.nss.gov.gh — to access their PIN codes using their Student IDs and dates of birth.

The statement also highlighted the registration fee structure. Prospective service personnel are expected to pay GH₵40.00 at any ADB Bank branch to complete their registration or opt for the GH₵41.00 MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) option available on the online platform.

Enrollment officially commenced on April 17, 2025, and will close on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. The NSA urged all qualified personnel to complete their online registration within the stipulated timeframe to avoid any last-minute issues.

The release further served as a reminder that under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), all Ghanaian citizens aged 18 and above who have completed accredited tertiary institutions — including universities and nursing training colleges — are legally mandated to undertake national service.

The Authority emphasized its commitment to ensuring a smooth enrollment process and encouraged all eligible candidates to act promptly.
