Notre Dame Girls’ Senior High School has booked its place in the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) national championship after recording an outstanding 78 points in their Bono regional qualifier.
The score is the highest score in the school’s history and the highest across all contests held so far today in the region.

The school outperformed four other contenders in a four-round contest held at Sunyani SHS, extending its streak to nine consecutive appearances at the national level since 2016.
Notre Dame Girls’ SHS faced off against Jinijini SHS, Kyem Amponsah SHS, Nsawkaw State SHS, and Nkrankwanta SHS. At the end of the contest, Jinijini SHS finished with 20 points, Kyem Amponsah SHS scored 14, Nsawkaw State SHS ended with 10, and Nkrankwanta SHS managed 8 points.

By topping the contest, Notre Dame Girls’ has also advanced to the Bono Regional Final, where they will compete for regional supremacy and momentum heading into the national stage.
Methodist SHTS and Berekum Presbyterian SHS have all qualified for the regional finals.
