Member of Parliament for Assin South and Ranking Member on the Defence and Interior Committee, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has alleged that a Parliamentary Candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is linked to the recent cocaine seizure valued at approximately $350 million.
Rev. Ntim Fordjour has recently come under the spotlight following serious accusations of drug trafficking and money laundering involving two aircraft that reportedly made a stop at the Kotoka International Airport.
Speaking during an interview on Channel One Newsroom, the Assin South MP claimed the NDC government had allowed the country to become a hub for drug trafficking.
“It was an NDC parliamentary candidate who owns that $150 million bit of the cocaine so when we are bringing these exposes, it is expected that the NDC will be so uncomfortably frustrated and in their attempt, would just come at my person but I am not perturbed about that,” he stated.
He further hinted at more revelations to come, adding: “We should expect them to say worse things, but there will be further things that will be released to the public.”
