Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has reaffirmed her commitment to reducing youth unemployment and empowering local artisans through strategic engagement with national development programmes.

In a Town Hall Meeting held on Thursday, Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings brought together artisans including painters, hairdressers, electricians, auto mechanics, and other skilled professionals within her constituency. The meeting, which saw a strong turnout, was held in collaboration with the Korle-Klottey Municipal Assembly and the National Youth Authority (NYA), led by its CEO, Osman Abdulai Ayariga Esq.

The event focused on sensitizing participants to the numerous opportunities available under the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP), a key initiative by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) aimed at tackling unemployment and boosting vocational skills training across the country.

“Our goal is to align the needs of our constituents with national programmes that offer real impact,” Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings stated. “Klottey-Korle is blessed with highly skilled artisans, and it’s important that we create pathways for them to thrive and contribute meaningfully to national development.”

NYA CEO Osman Ayariga, who led a technical team to the meeting, emphasized the Authority’s readiness to support youth-focused initiatives. Sharing Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings’ post on his own Facebook page, he wrote: “Thank you Hon. Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, MP. We remain committed to reduce youth unemployment!”

The engagement forms part of a broader plan by the MP to deepen grassroots participation in governance and ensure that government interventions reach the people who need them most.

With the rallying call #TogetherWeBuild, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings continues to champion collaborative development and inclusive progress for the Klottey Korle Constituency.
