President John Dramani Mahama has clarified that current government officeholders are going to be held under a strict system of accountability to ensure effective performance in the duties they have been mandated to perform.

President Mahama speaking during his Thank You Tour in the Central Region today, February, 6, 2025 explained that this system will be implemented through Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL).

“We are going to implement a very strict system accountability and as I said, we will come out with a code of conduct for persons who occupy positions of trust,” he stated.

He clarified that the anti-corruption scheme is not solely to hold political actors of the past regime accountable but also the cabinet of the present government under his leadership.

“So even as we investigate those who have just left office and we carry out our Operation Recover All Loot ORAL those who are current office bearers should also know that they will be held to the same standards as we are holding the last regime,” President Mahama said.
