Parliament has given the green light to the appointment of four sitting Members of Parliament as Deputy Ministers, reinforcing the government’s leadership across critical sectors of national development.
Dorcas Affo-Toffey has been confirmed as Deputy Minister for Transport, where she is expected to assist in revitalising Ghana’s transportation systems and expanding infrastructure. James Gyakye Quayson has been approved as Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, a role that will see him contribute to the country’s diplomatic outreach and international cooperation.
Mohammed Adam Sukparu has secured the nod to serve as Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, placing him at the heart of Ghana’s digital transformation agenda. Meanwhile, Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah takes up the position of Deputy Minister for Health, where her medical background is expected to bolster ongoing efforts to improve public healthcare delivery.
The approved deputies are expected to complement their sector ministers in accelerating policy execution, enhancing efficiency in service delivery, and driving the broader agenda of national growth and development.
