Parliament has officially confirmed Michael Harry Yamson as the Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) following a unanimous endorsement by the Appointments Committee.
Yamson’s approval was based on his demonstrated competence, vast experience, and strategic approach to financial management, making him the preferred choice for the position.
During his vetting session on March 20, 2025, before the Appointments Committee, he addressed key questions from lawmakers, assuring them of his ability to efficiently oversee the District Assemblies Common Fund.
He highlighted his extensive experience in managing large-scale budgets, emphasizing that his background in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and telecommunications industries has equipped him with the necessary skills to ensure efficient allocation and management of the DACF.
With parliamentary approval secured, Yamson is now set to assume office, overseeing the equitable distribution of funds to local assemblies across the country.
