Three people are in critical condition after an articulator truck crashed head-on with a Jeep 4×4 vehicle on the Berekum-Sampa Road in the Bono Region.

The Ghana News Agency (GNA) gathered that the victims, who have yet to be identified, were admitted to the Berekum Holy Family Hospital.

The crash happened between 1900 hours and 2000 hours on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, when the driver of the articulator truck, with registration number BA 1818-15, loaded with cashew nuts and travelling to Sampa, attempted to drive behind a faulty tipper truck parked in the middle of the road.

In the process, the truck collided head-on with the Land Rover vehicle with registration GR 9547-14, which was coming from the opposite direction, Abdul Rahman Fuseini, the truck driver’s mate, told the GNA.

Mr. Joseph Nkrumah, the Berekum branch secretary of the Cargo Union branch of the Progressive Transport Owners Association of Ghana, told the GNA that the road had since been cleared to facilitate the movement of vehicles.
