The Kete-Krachi Divisional Police Command’s Anti-Robbery team has apprehended two individuals, John Dzeble, 34, and Adzobi Mesiwotso, 24, for possession of substances believed to be Indian hemp.

On June 15, 2025, the police team conducted an intelligence-led operation, intercepting an Opel Astra vehicle with registration number GT 6430-13 driven by Dzeble with Mesiwotso as a passenger.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered 86 compressed parcels of suspected Indian hemp concealed in various compartments, including the engine, doors, and boot. Additionally, a portable measuring scale machine and a roll of masking tape, likely used for packaging, were retrieved.

The suspects and exhibits are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations. The Oti Regional Police Command commends the personnel involved in the arrest, reaffirming its commitment to combating drug trafficking and related crimes.
