The Atebubumanhene, His Royal Majesty Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah, has expressed his gratitude to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for nominating Francis Owusu Antwi as the Minister designate for the Bono East Region.

The show of gratitude for Francis Owusu Antwi’s nomination was contained in an official statement signed by Dr. Kennedy Bomfeh, Chief of Staff at the Office of the Atebubumanhene.

“Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah has received with profound gratitude news of the nomination of Francis Owusu Antwi, a son of Atebubuman, for the Bono East Regional Minister position,” the statement reads in part.

The statement indicated that His Royal Majesty Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah has officially reached out to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to express Atebubuman’s gratitude for such an honor.

“He has proceeded to express his gratitude to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, for the honor done to Atebubuman, and has congratulated Hon. The statement further pledged the support of Nananom and the entire Atebubu community for the nominee, promising their backing upon his confirmation to ensure that he meets the expectations and trust reposed in him by the president.

Francis Owusu Antwi is a 46-year-old native of Atebubu in the Atebubu-Amantin Municipality of the Bono East Region.

He is an astute banker with over two decades of experience in the banking sector and holds an MBA in Strategic Management and a BBA in Marketing from Valley View University, as well as a Certificate in General Agriculture from the Kwadaso Agriculture College.

He also holds a post-chartered diploma in Treasury and Financial Risk Management from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) ICAG, an Advanced Diploma (Project Management) from the Academy of Business Administration (ICM-UK), and a Professional Certificate in Microfinance from the University of Cape Coast.

A staunch member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), he has served the party in various capacities, including Chairman of the Bono East Finance Committee, Member of the Bono East Chieftaincy Committee, Executive Member of the Atebubu-Amantin Constituency, Branch Chairman, Polling Station Agent, and Party Agent.
