Francis Proferr Dusey (R), nominee for Ho West DCE has been approved
Francis Proferr Dusey, the nominee for the Ho West District Chief Executive (DCE), has been approved by the District’s General Assembly.
He secured 36 ‘Yes’ votes, representing 97 percent, and one ‘No’ vote, representing 3 percent, after the second round of voting.
In the first round, Dusey failed to secure the DCE position, polling 23 ‘Yes’ votes, representing 62 percent, and 14 ‘No’ votes, representing 38 percent.
In his speech, Dusey expressed his commitment to running an open-door administration that considers the holistic interests of the entire District. He emphasized that his administration would focus on hard work, inclusivity, discipline, and social justice.
Dusey also mentioned his intention to implement his customized short-term and mid-term agenda, which is based on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) manifesto, within the District’s General Assembly.
James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, stated that the DCE has already begun his duties, and there is no doubt that he will perform well in developing Ho West.
