The donation coincided with the 65th anniversary of Agric Central Station M/A Basic School
Professor Kingsley Nyarko, MP for Kwadaso and former Deputy Education Minister, has donated over 1,000 library books to basic schools across the Kwadaso Municipality.
The books were presented to Mrs. Grace Ofosu Boateng, the Municipal Education Director, for distribution to the schools.
The donation coincided with the 65th anniversary celebration of Agric Central Station M/A Basic School, where Professor Nyarko also delivered a goodwill message.
Speaking on the importance of the initiative, Professor Nyarko emphasised the critical role of reading in unlocking students’ potential and nurturing a lifelong love for learning.
He stressed that mastering reading skills from an early age is essential for comprehension, building confidence, and acquiring knowledge.
“When you can read from this early stage in your development—when you master the skill of reading, it will help you unlock your potential and gain additional knowledge,” Prof. Nyarko said.
He added that reading proficiency is key not only to academic success but also to developing future leaders who can contribute meaningfully to society.
Mrs. Grace Ofosu Boateng expressed her gratitude for the donation and assured Prof. Nyarko that the books would be distributed effectively and put to good use across the municipality’s schools.
