Samuel Agyepong has been confirmed by the assembly
Samuel Agyepong, the President’s nominee, has been approved as the Pru West District Chief Executive in the Bono East Region.
He received an overwhelming endorsement, securing 100 percent ‘yes’ votes from the 18-member assembly in an election conducted and supervised by the Electoral Commission at Prang, the district capital.
In his acceptance speech, Agyepong expressed gratitude to the Assembly Members (AMs) for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to work collaboratively with all of them to advance the government’s ‘Reset Agenda’.
He called on the AMs and the people to remain united and contribute their quota towards the progressive development of the district.
Agyepong also promised to ensure inclusive and participatory governance, stating that this was essential for development. He urged the people to capitalize on the Feed Ghana Programme, expand their farming activities, and thereby enhance their socio-economic livelihoods and improve food productivity.
