The initiative focused on equipping young people, particularly from Zongo communities
Radiza Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to youth empowerment and positive citizen leadership has been launched in Accra.
The foundation, in partnership with the United People Global officially launched on July 19, 2025, after successfully executing a three-day mentorship program in Accra.
The programme impacted 38 students across pre-secondary, secondary, and pre-tertiary levels.
The Radiza Mentorship Initiative ran from July 17 to 19, 2025 and focused on equipping young people, particularly from Zongo communities with the tools to understand themselves, define meaningful goals, and connect with mentors and career pathways.
The first day of the program was held at the ALX Ghana Hub, where participants engaged in interactive sessions on self-awareness, goal setting, and building healthy mentor-mentee relationships.
On Day 2, participants were taken on an experiential tour to Twellium Ghana and the Accra Compost and Recycling Plant.
The third and final day featured the “Becoming You Seminar” ; a capstone gathering that brought together mentors, professionals, and speakers from various sectors to inspire the participants through stories, coaching, and one-on-one mentoring circles.
The day concluded with the official launch of the Radiza Foundation and the unveiling of its guiding slogan; Together for Sustainable Impact.
Over 20 mentors and facilitators contributed their time and expertise across the three days, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical tools to the young participants.
According to the foundation’s Executive Director, Mrs Rabiatu Yakubu, “Radiza foundation exists for every young person with a dream, with potential, but with limited access to opportunities. It exists to bridge gaps, to create pathways, and to bring together people and resources for sustainable impact.
“Radiza is not just an initiative, it is a movement. It turns stories into strength and helps young people believe in their capacity to rise beyond limitations.”
With its successful launch, Radiza Foundation is set to continue its mission through alumni mentoring, soft skills training, internship placement, and access to vocational and digital learning for youth not pursuing formal education.
The foundation’s long-term vision is to raise a generation of confident, purpose-driven individuals who will contribute meaningfully to their communities and the world.
The maiden Radiza Mentorship Initiative, which reached youth aged 13 to 20 from diverse educational backgrounds, was made possible through the generous support of sponsors including Twellium Ghana, ALX Ghana, Balona Biscuits, Hausa Cuisine, STN Media Consult, Rayan Hospital and Riel Films Academy.
