Raymond Archer has been appointed as the Acting Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), 3news.com has learned.

His appointment follows the reassignment of the previous Acting Executive Director, Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah ESQ, who has been moved to the National Security Secretariat to serve as a Technical Advisor.

According to TV3’s sources within government, Mr. Dapilah’s reassignment, although no official reason for the change has been disclosed.

Mr. Archer takes over leadership at a time when EOCO continues to play a crucial role in Ghana’s fight against economic and organised crimes.

His appointment is expected to bring fresh direction to the agency amid ongoing national conversations about leadership transitions within key security institutions.

Prior to his new role, Raymond Archer was well-regarded for his work in investigative journalism and his insights into financial crimes, positioning him as a strong fit for the EOCO leadership.

The government has yet to release an official statement detailing the reasons behind the leadership changes.

3news.com will continue to monitor developments and provide timely updates.
