The candidates were given food provided by the Ashanti Regional Prisons Commander
Five (5) Junior High School candidates who sat for the just-ended BECE, together with other students and facilitators of the Reformation Basic and Senior High School, were ecstatic when they were treated to sumptuous fried rice and chicken sponsored by the Ashanti Regional Prisons Commander on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
As the guest of honour, Assistant Director of Prisons (ADP) Courage Astem, Second in Command of the Kumasi Central Prison, praised the students for their brave choice to consent to their own reformation and rehabilitation.
“I’m very happy to see you guys making such tremendous progress in your lives; despite your overcrowded conditions, keep doing your best and become better after here “, he reiterated.
According to ADP Astem, the gesture was a morale-boosting strategy by the administration to see that the students take their lessons seriously and also encourage others to join.
