Though young, Stephen Edwin Ewoodzie stands as a living proof of selflessness, and the power of hard work. His journey from humble beginnings in Tarkwa, through years of service in humanitarian projects, to becoming a successful, well known businessman, and a beacon of hope for many in Nkawkaw and beyond has now earned him an honorary doctorate, precisely a Global Doctorate in Humanitarian and Ministerial Excellence by the International Kingdom University, Florida.

Born in Tarkwa, Western Region, to the late Stephen Edwin Ewoodzie and Anna Abban, Stephen grew up in a home deeply rooted in the Christian faith. His lineage is one of spiritual devotion. His grandfather was a Methodist priest, his uncle a priest of the United Methodist Church, and one of his siblings has also taken up the priesthood. The presence of clergy in his family has shaped his values of compassion, service, and leadership, making him a natural leader in every sphere of his life.

Though born in the Western Region, Stephen spent most of his formative years in the Central Region, where he attended Apam Methodist JHS, studied General Arts at T.I. Ahmadiyya SHS at Gomoa Potsin and completed in 2002. After high school, his passion for education and community development led him to teach at Saint James Preparatory School at Apam Junction.

However, his desire to do more for society pushed him beyond the classroom. Stephen’s journey into humanitarian service began with an opportunity to work with Newlife Foundation, an NGO focused on water and sanitation projects supported by USAID. His dedication caught the attention of many, and he soon found himself balancing multiple roles.

In good time, he started working as a receptionist at Greenland Hotel in Agona Swedru while also serving as a Project Coordinator for Mission Central Ghana, an NGO owned by his uncle, a United Methodist Church priest in the USA.

Committed to making a tangible difference, Stephen made the bold decision to go full-time into humanitarian work. His leadership at Mission Central Ghana resulted in remarkable achievements, including:

Building a school for the people of Gomoa Awombra at New Winneba Junction. Establishing a pen manufacturing factory to provide employment opportunities. Constructing a nursery school and a Methodist church for the community. Replicating these successes in Yikpala (Northern Region) by building a CHPS (Community-based Health Planning and Services) compound and making donations to underserved communities.

His role involved budgeting, planning, writing proposals, managing staff, and liaising with international partners. He was mostly unpaid, yes, it was a labor of love, driven by a deep sense of purpose.

Eager to expand his knowledge, Stephen pursued an HND at Merrison College in 2009/2010, after which he relocated to Kumasi. His reputation for integrity and hard work landed him a managerial position at Champion International Hotel, owned by Dr. Kweku Frimpong, CEO of Champion Divine Clinic. His dedication did not go unnoticed, and in 2013, Chinese businessmen who frequented the hotel recruited him to Nkawkaw, where he transitioned into the gold business.

Since then, Stephen has built a reputation as a successful businessman, farmer, and philanthropist. He is happily married to

the gorgeous Eunice Agyekumwaa and they have been blessed with five beautiful kids.

As the CEO of True Living God Farms, he has provided employment to many, ensuring that the benefits of his success extend beyond himself. As many have been concerned about sustainable and ethical mining processes, Stephen who is certified in Natural Resources Law and Public Service Leadership and Governance from Presbyterian University, Ghana, goes to every length to operate responsibly. He is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Presbyterian University irrespective of his very busy schedules.

His generosity has touched countless lives through building mechanized boreholes for several communities struggling with water shortages. Yearly donations to orphanages nationwide. Sponsorship of deprived students at junior high school, Senior high school and university levels.

Stephen’s exceptional leadership and goodwill have earned him significant social capital in Nkawkaw and beyond. His deep-rooted commitment to his people has been recognized in various ways.

Aside being made a regent in his hometown, Ekumfi Srafa Kokodo. His name continues to pop up in conversations about people in Kwahuman that have engineered social change and made great impact.

Stephen Edwin Ewoodzie’s life embodies the principles of hard work, service, and leadership. From a young teacher to a humanitarian, entrepreneur, and community builder, he has remained steadfast in his mission to uplift others.

A doctorate conferred on him by the International Kingdom University, Sweden is not just an honor, it is a validation of his years of dedication to humanity, faith, and development Congratulations to him, this is well deserved.
