The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has named Richmond Rockson as its new Spokesperson and Head of Communications, with the appointment taking immediate effect.
In a press release dated Tuesday, May 13, the Ministry highlighted Mr. Rockson’s diverse professional background, noting his qualifications as a lawyer, energy analyst, business development consultant, and contributor to public discourse on energy policy.
With this new role, Mr. Rockson will lead the Ministry’s public communications and serve as the main point of contact for the media and general public on issues relating to the Ministry’s operations and policies.
“Effective immediately, all media representatives, stakeholders, and the public are requested to direct their communications, including interview requests, press inquiries, and other related matters to Mr. Rockson,” the statement said.
This appointment, the Ministry noted, aligns with its broader goal of fostering transparency, enhancing dialogue, and deepening engagement with stakeholders as Ghana pushes forward on its path toward a greener and more sustainable energy sector.
The Ministry expressed optimism that Mr. Rockson’s leadership in communications will contribute to shaping national conversations on energy transition and strengthen public trust in the Ministry’s initiatives.
