In a symbolic and uplifting visit to the National Sports Authority (NSA), President of the African Paralympic Committee (AfPC), Mr. Samson Deen, encouraged the NSA Director General, Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, to remain resilient and inclusive in his leadership despite political alignments and pressures.

During the visit, Mr. Deen offered heartfelt advice, sharing from his personal experiences:
“Don’t let others turn you against those aligned with NPP. I was once a victim but I survived through sheer positive energy.”

The meeting highlighted the need for unity within Ghana’s sports leadership, transcending political affiliations to focus on national development. Mr. Deen acknowledged Mr. Ankrah’s role in revitalizing the NSA and pledged his support for inclusive and strategic collaboration between the NSA and para sports institutions.

The encounter, which took place at the NSA headquarters, underscored ongoing efforts to reset the sports development agenda under a united national vision. Behind the symbolic backdrop of a portrait of former President John Dramani Mahama, the leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to elevating Ghana’s sporting excellence, especially in the area of disability sports.

Metro TV covered the meeting as part of its commitment to highlighting positive developments in Ghana’s sports sector.
