Sekondi XI Wise supporters halt training, demand meeting with CEO

Ghana Division One League side, Sekondi XI Wise supporters stormed the club’s training on Thursday afternoon to stop them from training.

The few supporters who turned up at the Railway Park in Essikado where the team trains stopped them and insisted on meeting the Executive Chairman of the team, Dr. Kobby Spio-Garbrah to have a discussion with him.

Sekondi XI Wise have won only three games and drawn one out of the fifteen games played so far in the Division One League and are last on the table with 10 points.

With this, the supporters sense the team might be relegated back to the Division Two League and want to meet the CEO and hold discussions on the way forward.

According to one supporter, all efforts to meet Dr. Spio Garbrah has been unsuccessful.

“We have requested for meetings with our CEO but he always doesn’t show up. Nothing is working in the team, players have not been paid for four months and we keep dropping points. Why should we be losing games at Gyandu Park just like that? We want to meet Dr. Kobby Spio-Garbrah and find solution to the problems,” he told the media.

Meanwhile, the club reshuffled their management team as they commenced the second round with hopes of surviving in the Division One League.

XI Wise will play leaders, Swedru All Blacks in the round 16 of the Division One League.
