St. Theresa Catholic Church, Kaneshie, unveiled its 60th Anniversary logo in grand style during Mass on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

The unveiling ceremony marked the start of a year-long celebration under the theme “60 Years of Faith and Service to Mankind,” reflecting the Church’s enduring commitment to spiritual growth and community service.

The Parish Priest, Rev. Father Francis Destiny Amenuvor, supported by the Anniversary Planning Committee, officially unveiled the beautifully crafted logo to the admiration and cheers of the parishioners.

St. Theresa’s Journey: A Legacy of Faith and Service

Celebrating six decades of faith, service, and community is no small feat. St. Theresa Catholic Church’s journey has shaped countless lives, fostering a strong sense of belonging and spiritual development among its members.

From humble beginnings to its current status as a vibrant and thriving parish, the Church’s history stands as a testament to the dedication of its founders, clergy, and laity. Through outreach programmes, charitable initiatives, and social services, St. Theresa’s impact extends far beyond its walls, earning it a reputation as a beacon of hope and compassion in the community.

As the Church celebrates this diamond jubilee, it reflects on its rich history, honours the contributions of its members, and looks forward to a bright and promising future. The anniversary presents an opportunity to renew its commitment to faith, service, and community, inspiring a new generation of Catholics to carry forward its legacy.

Speaking to the media, Rev. Father Amenuvor expressed deep gratitude to the Church’s founders, clergy, and laity for their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication.

“Their selflessness and devotion have made a lasting impact on the community, shaping the Church into the vibrant and compassionate institution it is today,” he said.

He further emphasised that as St. Theresa embarks on its next chapter, it remains steadfast in its mission to spread the Gospel, serve the faithful, and positively impact the lives of all it touches.

“With faith, hope, and charity guiding it, St. Theresa Catholic Church looks forward to many more years of service and devotion,” Rev. Father Amenuvor stressed.

Meanwhile, activities lined up for the year-long celebration have already begun, starting with a health walk held a few weeks ago, with many more events planned throughout the year.
