The Bawumia agenda has started too early — Alan’s running mate tells NPP

Lawyer Kwame Owusu Danso, the 2024 running mate of Movement for Change leader and independent candidate Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, has offered some advice to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The media personality stated that the party has begun its agenda to promote its 2024 flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the 2028 elections too early.

In a social media post on Wednesday, March 26, he wrote, “Dear NPP, the Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia agenda has started a bit too early.”

Meanwhile, the NPP, which vowed to break the two-term cycle of governance since 1992, lost the December 7, 2024, election by over 1.7 million votes.

The election saw President John Dramani Mahama of the NDC return to the presidency after his first tenure from 2013 to 2017.

However, just three months into his administration, the main opposition party has been criticizing the President over alleged misgovernance, particularly in areas such as illegal mining, known locally as galamsey and corruption.
